League of Women Voters to hold a virtual Vote by Mail Information session on Sunday, June 28, 2020, 7 p.m.
On May 15, 2020, NJ Governor Phil Murphy signed Executive Order #144 that the 2020 Primary, already moved to July 7, would be primarily vote by mail. This means that most registered Democrats and Republicans will automatically receive a ballot and all other registered voters automatically receiving an application for a mail-in ballot. What does this mean?
It means that by this time, registered voters in Roxbury Township should have received either a vote by mail ballot or a mail-in ballot application. If you have not received either and are a resident of Morris County, please contact the County Clerk at 973-285-6066 as soon as possible for guidance.
There has been some confusion around the Vote by Mail process and the options available to Roxbury Township voters. The Roxbury Township Democratic Committee is pleased to host a non-partisan vote by mail virtual information session, led by Megan Davis of the League of Women Voters. This session is free and open to all; registration is required. After the information session, there will be an opportunity for questions to be answered. As a reminder, this event is non-partisan and politics will not be discussed.
For those seeking information who are not able to attend the session, the Morris County Clerk’s website has some resources that may be useful to you. This information includes the location of polling places for each municipality and the locations of five (5) ballot drop boxes in Morris County.
The Roxbury Township Democratic Committee reminds everyone to vote July 7th and to stay safe.
