Tonight’s Roxbury Town Council meeting saw a large turnout with many speaking during the public portion. Residents from Roxbury Township and several neighboring communities expressed their overwhelming disapproval regarding reports of a proposed ICE detention facility in our area.
The public comment section was dominated by concerns over the proposed facility’s potential impact on our community’s character and values. They also cited grave concerns over the human rights and due process violations that have plagued the modern-day DHS and ICE. As part of our ongoing commitment to keeping residents informed and ensuring transparency in local government, the Roxbury Democrats are proud to provide this video access for those unable to attend these critical meetings in person.
