Book Club – October

October 10 @ 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm

With less than a month to go until Election Day, it is important we know where we stand in terms of our rights as voters.

There has been an overwhelming amount of Executive Orders, lawsuits, mis/disinformation, and concerns about the voting process in the United States that are leaving many of us uncertain in what to expect this November.

For this month’s Book Club, we will go through what each of the three Supreme Court decisions centered around voting and the elections actually mean, what the SAVE Act is and where it currently stands in Congress, the fight for state voter rolls, and federal officer deployment to polling places and election offices throughout the country.

This month’s discussion will be led by Nicole Maguire, who is currently in grad school in DC as well as working with Change for the People, to help engage young voters.

While this Book Club is hosted by the Roxbury Township Democratic Committee, it is open to all.

The Book Club will begin at 6 pm and wrap up no later than 8 pm. Our intention is to also offer a Zoom option with the link being provided via email prior to the meeting.

Registration is required and can be found here.
